Everything at Metro is baked in house by our Head Baker, Steve and Head Pastry Chef Kamal*. We bake using traditional methods, which means that NO corners are cut when producing these fine delicacies.
For example, the patisserie cream alone takes up to four separate cooking methods and each croissant is carefully folded to produce over 60 folds! The croissants are baked from a 100 year old traditional French recipe. Following such painstaking, time consuming methods is a testament of Metro's commitment of ‘passion for tradition’ and to producing quality products.
At Metro we offer a gluten free range; bread, cakes, biscuits, muffins.
We understand that our gluten intolerant customers need to be assured that they can eat our products in confidence.
Our bread has been audited and sample tested by the “National Institute of Measurement”. This guarantees our customers that ALL our gluten free products are baked under the strictest processes and procedures.
Our gluten free bread is baked on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to order and available everyday on our menu.
